Our Journey to Ryleigh Grace

God is leading us back to China for our new daughter, Ryleigh Grace.
One year ago today, we became the proud parents of our beautiful daughter, Madison, when we recieved our referral. To commemorate
the occasion we filed our formal application to adopt another little girl today!
Now comes the fun part of compiling our dossier of paperwork. We have been placed in group #52 and our dossier needs to
be completed and submitted to AAC by Oct. 31st. A rather funny coincidence because that is the date that our dossier for Madison
was due to AAC!!
The process has slowed down alot since we got Maddie, so we are thinking it will most likely be early 2008 when we travel
to bring Ryleigh home.
I will continue to update the process as we go, and once again we will take you along on our journey! Keep us in your prayers
and check back often for updates!
Love to all,
Kathie

We are DTC, which means our dossier was sent to China. Next step is to get a log in date (LID), which tells us we are
logged into the system in China.
We are still looking at anywhere from 14 to 18 months before we get Ryleigh's referral. Basically it is in China's hands
(and God's hands!) now. I will update again when we have an LID date, which should be soon.
Peace,
Kathie

We are LID!!! Our dossier was logged in to China on 2/28/07.
Now the long wait begins. They are still telling us to prepare for a 14-18 month wait for a referral. We are praying
that once the new regulations go into effect on May 1st, things will hopefully speed up! Keep us in your prayers.

Happy Chinese New Year of the Rat! Well
it has now been almost exactly one year since our LID date. I am amazed at how fast this year has gone, yet the prospect of
waiting another year or longer seems so daunting. I'm sure we will have to redo some of our paperwork and update our home
study sometime this summer, as alot of the paperwork is time sensitive on China's end. I am thankful that we have
Maddie to keep us preoccupied so we don't dwell on how slow things are moving. Still it is hard not to think about it
at least a couple of times a day! Every morning when I wake up I say a silent prayer for our family and our baby daughter
waiting for us on the other side of the world. And every day I wonder if today is her birthday. Keep us in your thoughts
and prayers, Love to all, Kathie
